Anthony Tony Paladie

Boy Wonder

unnamed-9.jpg

This year, I honor SrA Anthony Victor Roland Paladie, who took his life in November of 2021 during active service overseas as an EOD craftsman. It took months for my parents, family and myself to find a rhythm in our lives, minus “Bunky Noodle Head,” my “Boy Wonder." Post Tony, my parents began a therapy and wellness business, ETS and Associates, using their talents and experience to help others. My path, though, would take a different route. Literally. Across the United States.

My mission? To stop suicide. How? By empowering people with health and wellness skills. My own journey through mental health, including the people I have met and the lessons I have learned, led to the creation of the “High5toHealth” themes.

Anthony was born two years after me in the year 1996, making him 25 years old the last year we enjoyed laughs and took our final photo together. For 25 years we were the classic pair of siblings This American Life would have archived memorably as “those crazy couple of kids from small town Minnesota.”
We took summer memories to an all-time high when we took a road trip through Canada, bike packed to Itasca State Park and took a road trip to and hiked around Denver, Colorado over three consecutive summers. Not one trip had more than a week of planning, so the learning happened along the way, making all the more significance for our siblinghood.

The Life and Legend

He was a brother to me, but he was also that and so much more to others. Here you can get a glimpse into Anthony “Tony” Paladie captured and shared as favorite memories by his family and friends.
